Meet Dr Kevin Koo
With subspecialty training in knee and sports surgery, Dr Kevin Koo has over 20 years of experience treating a wide spectrum of knee conditions—from ligament injuries and cartilage damage to degenerative joint disorder—helping patients return to pain-free mobility with personalised effective treatment.
Dr Koo completed advanced subspecialty training in London under the Health Manpower Development Plan, where he undertook a year-long clinical fellowship at St. Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospitals, part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. During this time, Dr Koo trained alongside internationally recognised orthopaedic surgeons and was involved in the care of elite athletes and professional dancers—further refining his skills in sports-related injury management and surgical reconstruction.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr Koo remains active in research and medical education, contributing his expertise in total knee arthroplasty to peer-reviewed publications and speaking at regional and international orthopaedic conferences, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Before entering private practice, his work in public healthcare included managing a wide range of lower limb conditions and mentoring junior surgeons in orthopaedic techniques. Dr Koo remains committed to keeping up with the latest developments in knee surgery and incorporates evidence-based techniques into his practice. His clinical approach emphasises minimally invasive procedures, aimed at reducing recovery time and improving long-term joint function.
Dr Koo works closely with each patient to develop tailored treatment plans that align with their mobility goals—whether that means returning to sport, staying active, or simply moving without pain. Under Dr Koo’s leadership and commitment to patient-centred orthopaedic care, The Bone & Joint Centre has been honoured with the Prestige 100 Singapore Award and the Top Business Service and Quality Award 2024/2025.
